Event Description
The Columbia Entrepreneurship Office and SIPA invite students to attend a film screening of Extreme By Design, followed by a faculty/student discussion panel and Design Thinking workshop. By following a group of Stanford University students as they design innovative products and services, the film examines the role Design Thinking can play in the lives of young people who want to compete in the global economy and pursue careers in public service.

The film screening will be followed by an optional workshop intended to introduce participants to the notion of Design Thinking as it applies to their own creative endeavors, by leading them through a 90-minute exercise that starts with a design challenge and covers five design steps (empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test).
