Break-out Sessions
During the Columbia University Medical School Fair, Columbia University and Barnard College students are invited to attend various break-out sessions that focus on admissions to health professional schools. The number and the type of sessions vary from year to year and have a limited number of spots available.
The Multiple Mini-Interview:
A New Approach to the Medical School Interview
Event Date and Time: Friday, February 8, 2013, 2-3 p.m.
Location: 555 Lerner Hall
Led by the Associate Dean of Admissions at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, this break-out session is a unique opportunity to learn about this new approach to interviewing medical school applicants, what it's like, why it's effective and even enjoyable.
Osteopathic Medicine: Physicians for the Future
Event Date and Time: Friday, February 8, 2013, 3-4 p.m.
Location: Roone Arledge Cinema, Lerner Hall
Led by the Associate Director of Application Services of the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM), students are invited to attend a session focusing on the history, methods, and training of osteopathic physicians.
