Break-out Sessions

During the Columbia University Medical School Fair, all attendees are invited to join break-out sessions that focus on admission to health professional schools. The number and type of sessions vary from year to year and have a limited number of spots available.

Financing Your Medical Education: A FIRST Look

Event Date and Time: Fri., March 31, 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Location: Roone Arledge Cinema, Lerner Hall

Students are invited to meet with a representative from the AAMC's FIRST program who will discuss the task of financing their medical educations and steps they can begin taking as they prepare to apply.

Service and Scholarship: National Health Service Loan Repayment and Scholarship Programs

Event Date and Time: Fri., March 31, 3 -4 p.m.
Location: Satow Room, Lerner Hall

Students are invited to learn about the NHSC Scholarship and Loan Repayment programs, which award scholarships or loan forgiveness to students pursuing primary health care professions training in NHSC-eligible disciplines in return for a commitment to provide health care to communities in need, upon graduation and the completion of training.

Service and Scholarship: Army Health Professions Scholarship Program

Event Date and Time: Fri., March 31, 3 - 4 p.m.
Location: 555 Lerner Hall

Students are invited to meet with a representative from the Army Health Professions Scholarship Program to discuss Army medicine, residency programs, and scholarships.
