GS welcomes the United States Navy, the Coast Guard and the Marine Corps to New York City for Fleet Week 2012.
Columbia University was recently named a Military Friendly School, and has had a long-standing commitment to supporting military veterans who wish to enter or return to college to finish their bachelor’s degree at the School of General Studies. Since 1947, beginning with GIs returning from World War II, Columbia has been offering men and women who have served our country, the unique opportunity to pursue a traditional Ivy League degree program.
Throughout the week, servicemen and women interested in learning more information about opportunities at Columbia University School of General Studies are encouraged to visit campus at 116th Street and Broadway and stop by the admissions office at 408 Lewisohn Hall during normal business hours for additional information and an opportunity to ask questions.
Admissions representatives from Columbia University School of General Studies (GS) will also be in attendance at the Pier Party at Fleet Week New York on Wednesday, May 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. Service members in New York for Fleet Week are encouraged to visit the Columbia booth at the Pier Party at the Brooklyn Navy Yard to learn more and to ask questions about the opportunities available for veterans at the School of General Studies.
